General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality services focused on the guest’s overall look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, guest service, and adherence to procedures. A passion for beauty, exceptional service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance:

• Perform various hair and makeup services, including haircuts, color, styling, treatments, and ear piercing.
• Meet or exceed weekly sales and productivity goals, contribute to retail and service sales, and promote guest loyalty.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Support in-store events and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain regular attendance.

People:

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and app.
• Attend ongoing training and meetings.

Process:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Follow service protocols for consistency and quality.
• Use booking and client management systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain store cleanliness and adhere to dress code.
• Follow loss prevention practices and execute operational tasks as directed.

Job Qualifications

Education: Cosmetology license

Experience: Previous relevant work experience required

Skills:

• Proficiency in salon techniques across services and ability to learn new skills.
• Knowledge of equipment and chemicals used in services.
• Ability to demonstrate and recommend products effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Special Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions
