GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Master Stylist engages with guests, provides consultations, and recommends products and services. They deliver high-quality professional services focusing on the guest’s overall look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager by emphasizing performance, guest service, and adherence to operating procedures and standards. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and strong communication skills are essential.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Master Stylist embodies Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values through the following duties:

Performance

• Perform hair and makeup services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, and ear piercing where applicable.
• Achieve or surpass an average weekly sales goal of $1250 through excellent guest service and sales.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Build guest relationships through consultations and tailored recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Foster professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory training and meetings for ongoing professional development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Follow established service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
