Fox Bros Bar-B-Q is seeking a smokehouse cook to prepare and smoke proteins using wood, ensuring quality during service hours. The role requires maintaining cleanliness, labeling for safety, and coordinating with the Back of House team on protein status. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with a strong teamwork mindset.

The position involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 75 lbs, and exposure to heat and smoke in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cooking and prepping in a commercial kitchen environment (preferred).
• Ability to read and write English.
• Self-motivated and assumes responsibility.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Cook/Smoke meat using wood smoker.
• Communicate with smokehouse team and Back of House Manager regarding proteins status and availability.
• Label all food items for food safety and shelf-life standards.
• Rotate products according to First In, First Out (FIFO).
• Keep smokers and smokehouse clean, sanitary and neat.
• Walk-in refrigerator and smokehouse must be clean, organized and well maintained.
• Work under pressure.
