Job summary

Kendrick Plastics in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Master Scheduler to manage customer demand, shipping schedules, and inventory planning in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

You will monitor ERP and scheduling processes, maintain data integrity, coordinate shipments, and support ECNs, product launches, and obsolescence planning. This role emphasizes strong analytical skills and cross-functional teamwork to deliver on-time performance for valued customers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, customer scheduling, or master scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and scheduling software (Plex experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer demand planning, forecasting, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor customer EDI and ERP systems, identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery performance.
  • Coordinate customer shipment schedules, delivery routing, and order maintenance.
  • Serve as a customer point of contact and provide proactive communication regarding delivery risks and supply concerns.
  • Track inbound and outbound premium freight costs.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Support engineering changes (ECNs), product launches, and obsolescence planning.
  • Develop inventory plans for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Maintain ERP data integrity, item parameters, customer information, and product data.
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Establish and maintain freight routing strategies to meet delivery and cost objectives.

About The Role

Kendrick Plastics is seeking a Master Scheduler to manage customer demand, shipping schedules, inventory planning, and customer-specific requirements while ensuring exceptional customer performance ratings. This role is critical to maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.



What You'll Do

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, customer scheduling, or master scheduling within a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with ERP systems and scheduling software (Plex experience is a plus)

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications


  • Automotive manufacturing experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and data visualization

  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
