Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to build and maintain enterprise IMS/Roadmaps, integrating program milestones and EVMS practices. The role focuses on planning, tracking, and reporting progress across multiple task orders with TS/SCI eligibility.

The successful candidate will develop, integrate and monitor IMS/IMP schedules in MS Project, coordinate with technical leads, and provide variance analyses with mitigation plans to support program goals.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility, required within 3 months.
• Bachelor's degree; Masters plus 3–4 years experience, or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience developing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using MS Project (advanced).
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
• Experience creating a project baseline and monitoring progress against it.
• Experience providing impact analysis of schedule changes and mitigations.
• Expert knowledge in determining the Critical Path and schedule status updates.
• 3–5 years managing an enterprise-wide schedule using MS Project; Cobra experience a plus.

Description

SAIC is looking for an experienced Master Scheduler with hands‑on expertise with planning and scheduling in MS Project. We’re looking for experience in Program Management and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). This position will be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise integrated master schedules (IMS)/Roadmaps, program management reviews, technical exchange meetings, milestones among other requirements. The master scheduler will work with task order managers and technical experts to determine critical tasks and their interdependencies across the program, using the IMS as a day‑to‑day execution tool to periodically assess progress in meeting program requirements.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide IMS support to multiple task orders


• Develop, integrate and maintain multiple schedules into program top‑level Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and associated IMS as day‑to‑day execution tools used to periodically assess progress in meeting program requirements


• Work closely with technical experts, project leads and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project schedules


• Develop solutions for mitigating schedule risk and achieving program goals and objectives


• Execute project management activities including project plan development, project monitoring and control, and integrated change control.


• Make recommendations to influence key decision‑makers within the scope of project controls (work breakdown structure, schedule, and budget/cost)


• Update the schedule status as required, produce reports, and track variances and recommend corrective action.


• Work closely with others in linking critical activities across multiple projects

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (must be eligible for SCI indoctrination within first 3 months of start date) and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI


• Bachelors and 5 years or more of related experience; Masters and 3 (Four) years or more experience. Four (4) additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.


• Minimum two years’ experience developing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using MS Project (advanced preferred)


• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies


• Experience creating a project baseline for each project and monitoring project progress against that baseline and developing solutions for mitigating schedule risk


• Experience providing impact analysis of schedule changes; identifying schedule variances and opportunities and proactively developing mitigation strategies for the Project Management team.


• Demonstrated expert knowledge in determining the Critical Path and performing Schedule status updates

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience managing a schedule for an enterprise‑wide program(s) and multiple sub‑components using MS Project


• Experience with Milestone One and/or Deltek Cobra

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
