Job summary

Samaritas is hiring a Master’s Social Worker to deliver substance use disorder and mental health services within Eaton County Jail and an outpatient clinic in Charlotte. The role includes jail-based counseling, assessments, and treatment planning, with a hybrid work arrangement and supervision for clinicians pursuing full licensure.

The position requires a Master’s in social work, licensure or progress toward licensure, and experience with SUD populations. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field.
• Fully licensed clinicians preferred; limited license candidates considered.
• Minimum one year of SUD counseling experience preferred.
• Experience with substance use populations and correctional settings is desirable.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver jail-based behavioral health and SUD treatment in Eaton County Jail and Charlotte clinic.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate groups for justice-involved individuals.
• Support crisis intervention and stabilization within correctional settings.
• Maintain outpatient clinic caseload and ensure continuity of care and recovery support.
• Provide transition support for reintegration into the community after release.
• Maintain clinical documentation including service plans and progress notes.
• Engage in community outreach to build referrals and partnerships.
