Job summary

Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Master’s Level Intern to work as part of a team providing supervision and trauma-informed care of children within the residential program. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Currently enrolled in a Master's program working towards a counseling or social work degree.

Responsibilities

• Child supervision and engaging activities; maintain vigilant supervision of children and assist with hygiene, diet, and school readiness.
• Participate as a treatment team member and maintain communication; help keep the unit clean and orderly.
• Document handoffs; complete daily/weekly logs for assigned children; complete behavior/restraint/incident reports.
• Ensure safety standards, policies, and procedures are followed; monitor and supervise calls/visits as directed by therapist.
• Engage in Quality Improvement goals; attend required training; participate in weekly staff meetings.
