Job summary

ABB in Senatobia, MS is seeking a Master Production Scheduler to convert the supply plan into a time‑phased master schedule. You will translate forecasts and volumes into production plans, establish KPI, and manage MRP to drive on‑time shipments.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish KPI for master plan accuracy and monitor schedule adherence.
• Identify current demand levels and create tactical production plans.
• Calculate production lead times and level loads to balance capacity.
• Execute daily plant‑level MRP and release manufacturing work orders.
• Manage MRP exception messages and optimize sequences and lead times.
• Collaborate with functional managers, planning teams, customer service, and material planners.
• Prepare master schedule reports covering performance against plans.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Senatobia, MS

Your role and responsibilities

In this role as Master Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for conversion of supply plan into a master production schedule which can be executed. Each day, you will translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time‑phased build schedule. You will also showcase your expertise by establishing key performance indicators of master plan accuracy.

• Schedule Development & Maintenance: Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a time‑phased build schedule, ensuring accuracy and adherence to KPI.
• Demand & Capacity Planning: Identify current demand levels, create tactical production plans, and calculate production lead times.
• Load Levelling & Bottleneck Management: Apply load‑levelling techniques and Theory of Constraints (TOC) to balance capacity and improve scheduling accuracy.
• MRP & Work Order Management: Execute daily plant‑level MRP to generate production requirements, release manufacturing work orders, and manage MRP exception messages.
• Sequence & Lead Time Optimization: Establish operation sequences and lead times to meet shipment dates per the master schedule.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor schedule adherence, identify root causes of deviations, and implement improvement actions.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with functional managers, local and regional Planning & Fulfillment teams, customer service, and material planners to resolve issues and share planning parameters.
• Reporting: Assemble master schedule reports covering performance against business, shipment, inventory, and production plans.
