Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Richland Center, WI is seeking a Master Production Scheduler to plan, organize, and control the monthly master schedule for a capacity-constrained plant. The role partners with Demand Managers and Production Control Analysts to balance service, capacity, and inventory goals while reporting to the Master Production Scheduler Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in supply chain planning/scheduling, with SAP experience and strong MS Office

  • 2+ years of prior Supply Chain experience in planning, scheduling, etc.
  • Experience with ERP Systems, Utilization of SAP.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience working with cross functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Production & Inventory Control Managers to manage capacities and minimize overdue orders.
  • Build rough cut capacity planning at the work center level across departments.
  • Prepare manufacturing plan of orders for the month and quarter based on capacity and material availability.
  • Monitor inputs for capacity planning (efficiency, utilization, absenteeism) for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with S&OP team to align load with the S&OP plan.
  • Complete date management of pull-in and push-out requirements.
  • Balance and coordinate manufacturing orders with buyers/planners based on material/capacity.
  • Communicate material availability updates and order dispatch.
  • Coordinate with Customer Care and PMO on order priority and execution.
  • Collaborate with plant Finance to understand scheduling impact on financials.
  • Perform health checks to maintain SAP accuracy and accountability.
  • Track, analyze, and report KPIs and suggest plant improvements.

Job Description

The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the monthly master schedule. It is a planned build schedule in weekly capacity-constrained buckets that is derived from the "Sales and Operations Planning" output. The monthly master schedule is what drives the forecast for purchased materials. Establishing the master schedule will involve working with the Demand Managers and Production Control Analysts to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve the global company objectives relative to customer service, resource/capacity utilization and low inventory investment.

You will be onsite in our Richland Center, WI., Manufacturing Facility.

This Role reports to the Master Production Scheduler Manager.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Production & Inventory Control Managers to thoroughly understand and advise on managing short-term/long-term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders and/or overtime.
  • Build Rough cut capacity planning at the work center level and across departments.
  • Prepare manufacturing plan of orders to be completed in the month and quarter, according to plant's capacity, manufacturing estimated hours and material availability.
  • Monitor inputs used for capacity planning (efficiency, utilization, absenteeism) to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordination with S&OP team regarding load, capacity, revenue target agreement, and monitoring of Frontlog to Backlog conversion ensuring load alignment vs S&OP plan.
  • Complete date management of pull-in and push-out according to our requirements.
  • Work with the Buyer/Planners to help balance and coordinate the manufacturing orders based on material/capacity availability.
  • Communication regarding material availability updates, order dispatch execution and production output.
  • Communication with Customer Care and PMO Organization regarding order priority management and execution.
  • Working with plant Finance to understand the impact master scheduling has on the plant's financials.
  • Complete Health checks to maintain SAP system accuracy and guide accountability on system management with plants.
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting pertinent KPI's, suggest and implement plant-specific improvement activities (i.e. monitor actual performance against the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and production plan, and provide a summary of operation results for management).
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years of prior Supply Chain experience in planning, scheduling, etc.
