Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Colorado Springs is seeking a Scheduler/Planner to develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

You will coordinate with Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Inventory, and Operations to meet on-time delivery while optimizing labor, equipment, and materials. This role supports S&OP, drives continuous improvement, maintains accurate ERP/MRP data, and contributes to inventory and schedule performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Coordinate schedules with Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory Control and Operations.
  • Support S&OP processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain planning data in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Maintain Kanban and inventory replenishment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute the MPS to meet delivery requirements while optimizing labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate schedules based on orders, forecasts, material availability, capacity, and priorities.
  • Serve as liaison between multiple departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Conduct daily scheduling meetings with Operations to review priorities and constraints.
  • Monitor progress and adjust schedules for changes in requirements or shortages.
  • Maintain ERP/MRP data, routings, lead times, work centers, and capacity information.
  • Support and participate in S&OP activities with capacity and scheduling input.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, scheduling, and efficiency.
