Job summary

Rheem is seeking a Master Mechanic for the 2nd shift in Montgomery, AL. The role provides technical leadership for maintenance of plant machinery, with involvement in design and modification of facilities as needed.

Responsibilities include supervising foremen, planning work, coordinating between plants, and ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality. A strong maintenance background and ability to read engineering drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with MS Office and maintenance software.
• Able to use calipers, micrometers, and measuring devices.
• Able to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance foremen across shifts.
• Establish department procedures per policy and apply corporate directives.
• Interpret drawings and specifications and coordinate cross-plant work.
• Plan complex production processes and equipment improvements.
• Maintain safety, costs, and housekeeping in maintenance operations.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Represent the department to outside vendors and stakeholders.
