Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road seeks a dedicated mechanic to join our concrete paving crew. You will be assigned full-time with the crew, responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing diverse construction equipment on site.

The role requires 2+ years of mechanic experience, high school diploma or GED, and English fluency for safety. Skills with slipform pavers and related machinery are a plus; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years related mechanic experience or training.
• Experience with slipform pavers, concrete places, and cure/texture machines; GZ and Gomaco are a huge plus.
• Mechanical, welding, and electrical experience preferred.
• Reading and speaking fluent English is required for safety.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment.
• Inspects and diagnoses machinery to determine need for repairs and cost.
• Tests, installs new or repaired unit back into equipment.
• Performs minor tune ups to ensure efficient and safe operation of the equipment.
• Understands system controls, operation, and configurations.
• Complies with safety policies and communicates any issues to management.

• Mechanical, welding, and electrical experience preferred - For safety reasons, it is imperative that the employee be able to read and speak fluent English
