Job summary

Siemens Energy in Richland, MS is seeking a seasoned maintenance technician to test, diagnose, repair and modify electrical and mechanical systems on plant equipment. You will read blueprints and schematics, inspect for operating condition, and perform calibrations to meet specifications.

With 5+ years in maintenance, you’ll support hydraulics, pneumatics and controls, operate machine tools, and work closely with the Grid Technologies team to ensure reliability and energy efficiency across

Qualifications

• Requires experience in electrical installation and maintenance work on plant electrical systems and equipment.
• Requires experience in mechanical installation and maintenance work on plant systems and equipment.
• Requires experience in hydraulics and pneumatics and a broad knowledge of controls and mechanisms.
• 5+ years of experience in the maintenance field with strong knowledge of plant maintenance.

• Inspects equipment for proper operating condition, logs test readings, maintains, repairs, or replaces components.
• Reads blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams to determine methods and sequences.
• Repairs, rework, and calibrates hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies to meet specs.
• Operates metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.
• Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs to ensure machines are installed and functioning per specifications.
• Researches, evaluates, installs, operates and maintains mechanical and electrical products, equipment, systems and processes.

Applies both electrical and mechanical related knowledge to test, diagnose, maintain, repair and modify developmental or operational machinery and control equipment in facility. Work requires an in-depth knowledge of various trades. Performs a wide variety of electrical and mechanical service work on equipment, machines and/or controls. Diagnoses, repairs and replaces equipment. Installs, maintains, and/or repairs equipment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Inspects and checks equipment for proper operating condition, makes necessary adjustments, logs test readings, and maintains, repairs, or replaces all essential equipment parts.

• Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.

• Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.

• Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.

• Conduct installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

• Research, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical along with electrical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
