Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to prepare high quality cuts in a refrigerated production environment. You will trim, portion, label, and verify items per customer specifications, while keeping the cutting room organized, clean, and compliant with GMPs.

You will also mentor junior cutters and support production targets in a fast-paced setting. The role requires proficiency with band saws and laser portioning equipment, strong math skills, and ability to read cut tickets.

Qualifications

• Minimum (5) years’ experience as a meat cutter.
• Able to read and communicate in English relevant to safety regulations.
• Must have basic math skills for portioning and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Trim and customize portions of meat according to customer specs.
• Count and stack tray portions as per specs.
• Label portions with supplied labels and read cut tickets.
• Set up the cutting room and maintain sanitation per GMPs.
• Train and mentor junior cutters; work in refrigerated environment (35°F-45°F).
