Job summary

BMW of Lubbock, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is seeking a Master Service Technician-Mainline to join our growing team and help “Make Confidence Happen.” You will perform repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance to factory standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mainline service technician is required.
• Strong automotive background is essential.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs per the repair order with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Complete tasks timely and maintain accurate service records.
• Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

• If you are a recent graduate of an accredited technical school (graduated within the last 24 month) $625 per month tuition reimbursement for 2 year ($15,000 in total)

  • Apprentice: $4,000

Here Is What You Will Be Doing

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management

• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
