Job summary

Northwestern Community Services Board seeks an Adult Mental Health Therapist to conduct individual and group therapy for adults with behavioral health diagnoses. You will perform assessments, create treatment plans, and document progress while coordinating with psychiatrists and case managers.

The role may involve outreach to multiple NWCSB clinics and community settings. The position requires a Master’s in a human services field, LMHP eligibility, and prior crisis-intervention experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree earned from an accredited college or university in a relevant human services field is required.
• Experience working with adults with behavioral health diagnoses and crisis intervention is required.
• Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) eligibility is required, license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and/or family therapy with the seriously mentally ill and other populations.
• Perform assessments, intakes, and prepare documentation for client charts.
• Enter data into profiler computerized medical records.
• Develop treatment plans with clients and document progress toward goals.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and case managers to address client needs.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and participate in meetings.
