Job summary

The University of Illinois Extension in Woodstock is seeking an Extension Program Coordinator to support the Master Gardener volunteer programs and other horticulture Extension activities for adults and youth.

You will coordinate educational activities, recruit and train volunteers, manage records, and work with county staff to deliver community programs. Some travel and evening/weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and relevant volunteer or program coordination experience.
• Experience coordinating educational or community programs.
• Ability to communicate and deliver presentations on horticulture topics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning of educational activities with County Director or Educator.
• Identify priority needs for Master Gardener programs with staff input.
• Evaluate program activities and adjust as needed.
• Provide leadership to Master Gardeners and volunteers in local programs.
• Maintain administrative records and prepare monthly reports.
