Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Extension is seeking an Extension Program Coordinator to promote community health programs for adults and youth. You will develop marketing plans, build partnerships with local organizations, and manage registrations for Extension activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data reporting, and event coordination across county teams. This is a full-time Civil Service position with a 12-month appointment.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Any one or any combination that equals four (4) years/ 48 months of responsible volunteer or professional work experience in coordinating educational and/or community programs or activities.
• Volunteer/work experience coordinating educational and/or community programs or activities.
• College coursework in any field of study.
• 60 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months).
• 90 semester hours equals three (3) years (36 months).
• 120 semester hours or more equals four (4) years (48 months).
• Demonstrated experience and/or coursework in community nutrition, community health, and or public health.

Responsibilities

• Develop marketing plans and goals to promote Extension community health programs.
• Collaborate with community organizations to assess needs and design activities.
• Create and maintain online registrations for Extension programs.
• Coordinate logistics with health and unit teams for events and trainings.
• Maintain a database of partners and prepare required reports.
• Serve as liaison with coalitions and community organizations.
• Comply with Equal Opportunity policies in Extension work.
• Co-facilitate community health programs as needed.
• Maintain local marketing materials and program reports; assist in securing funds.
