Job summary

University of Illinois Extension is seeking an Extension Program Coordinator (Community Health) to support and promote health programs for adults and youth. You will help develop marketing plans, coordinate events, manage registrations, and liaise with partners across Illinois.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in a collaborative team setting. The role requires coordinating with local health teams, maintaining records for reports, and ensuring compliance with policies

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED and 4 years/48 months of experience coordinating educational or community programs.
• Demonstrated experience in community nutrition, community health, or public health.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing marketing plans and goals to promote Extension community health programs to new partners.
• Networks with community organizations to assess needs and develop educational activities.
• Creates and maintains online registrations for Extension programs.
• Coordinates logistics with health team and unit teams, and assists with events funded by Extension.
• Maintains a database of new or potential partners and records for required reports.
• Acts as a liaison between Extension and key coalitions.
• Co-facilitates community health programs as requested.
• Performs other duties to support Extension work and comply with policies.
