Job summary

City of San Diego is seeking a Master Fleet Technician to diagnose malfunctions across motorcycles, automotive, and various fleet equipment, perform repairs, and record work in the fleet management system.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year as Fleet Technician with City of San Diego.
• Must have ASE Master Automotive Technician or Master Medium/Heavy Truck Certificate.
• Valid California Class C driver license; higher licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions in fleet equipment and determine probable causes.
• Enter work orders in automated fleet management system and test repairs.
• Perform mechanical repairs and assist with complex tasks as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed.
