Job summary

IES is seeking an Electrical Foreman to oversee field operations, coordinate crews, and ensure safe, compliant, and timely project completion in Lexington, KY. The role requires leadership over installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting while ensuring adherence to codes and customer expectations.

Applicants should have 4–6 years of electrical field experience and a valid Kentucky Master Electrician license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 4–6 years of electrical installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting in field operations.
• Valid Kentucky Master Electrician license required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical crews and daily field activities to support project schedules, productivity, and quality standards.
• Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
• Review plans, blueprints, specifications, and work orders and communicate requirements to field personnel.
• Ensure electrical work complies with company policies, safety standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Monitor progress, materials, equipment, and site conditions and address issues affecting safety, quality, or completion.
• Coordinate with project leadership, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments regarding activities, needs, schedules, and concerns.
• Provide direction, training, and support to electricians, technicians, apprentices, and field personnel.
• Identify and resolve electrical, operational, and jobsite issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to field activities and progress.
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive jobsite and maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
