Job summary

RTS - Regional Transit Service is seeking a Master Electrician to maintain, repair, and install electrical distribution systems across RTS facilities. The role also covers general building trades, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and remodeling projects.

The position requires a New York State Master Electrician license, a valid NYS driver’s license, and a complete tool set. CDL Class B permit with passenger and air brake endorsements is mandatory before employment, with a competitive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Master Electrician (Three-Phase) license issued by the City of Rochester Electrical Examining Board.
• Valid New York State driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must possess a complete set of tools for the role.
• Must obtain a NYS CDL Class B permit with passenger and air brake endorsements before employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install electrical distribution systems and related equipment across RTS facilities.
• Perform building maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, concrete finishing, and remodeling as needed.
• Advise management on electrical safety and equipment reliability.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings; interpret electrical codes and standards.
