Job summary

R2Q Operating LLC in Kamay Yard, Texas is seeking an Oilfield Master Electrician to troubleshoot, repair and test electrical systems on oilfield equipment. You will work from manuals and schematics, plan modifications on secondary circuits and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The position requires a Master Electrician license and a minimum of five years' experience in oilfield electrical work, plus knowledge of overhead lines, transformers and drive systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of oilfield electrical work experience.
• Master Electrician license is required.
• Knowledge of overhead line work, transformers and line fuses.
• Good working knowledge of electrical drive systems.
• Experience with oilfield electrical equipment.
• Blueprints/schematics reading helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate and repair LV/MV/HV motor controls and pumps.
• Maintain electrical hardware such as motor controllers.
• Install conduit, wiring and controllers for electrical systems.
• Weld and fabricate brackets for new or rehab construction.
• Work with overhead lines, poles, transformers and fuses.
• Promote safety and follow project safety policies.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and recommend upgrades.
• Perform duties as assigned by Electrical Supervisor.
• Oversee contractors when needed and respond to call-outs.

Oilfield Master Electrician / Electrical Job Summary

Master Electrician troubleshoot and repairs electrical problems with Oil field Equipment. Work on troubleshooting from manuals and schematics. Operate and test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work done meets specifications and safety regulations. Electrician plans electrical systems additions or modifications on secondary circuits, and works on secondary electrical systems.

Oilfield Master Electrician / Electrical Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate and repair low, medium and high voltage electrical motor controls, electrical systems and pumps & motors.
• Maintain and repair electrical hardware such as motor controllers.
• Install electrical and electronic conduit, wiring, and controllers.
• Weld and fabricate brackets and framework for new and rehab construction.
• knowledge and experience in overhead line work i.e. power lines, power poles, transformers, transformer banks, and line fuses
• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.
• Work effectively with other plant personnel to resolve problems not necessarily related to electrical.
• Operate mobile equipment needed in performance of the job in a safe manner and within plant guidelines (forklift, man lift, bucket truck, auger)
• Actively participate and contribute to training necessary in the performance of this position.
• Perform such other duties, including those not related to craft, as directed by the Electrical Supervisor.
• Occasionally oversee contractors when needed.
• Respond to call-outs during non-work hours as needed.
• Make estimates of material requirements and prepare requisitions and reports.
• Personal safety and safety of all others in assigned area
• Familiar with Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out process
• Troubleshoot all electrical systems and make recommendations for upgrades, repairs, maintenance, etc.
• Maintain work area in clean and organized condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Oilfield Master Electrician / Electrical Qualifications

• Minimum (5) years experience
• Master Eletrician License required
• knowledge and experience in overhead line work i.e. power lines, power poles, transformers, transformer banks, and line fuses
• Good working knowledge of electrical drive systems
• Bucket Truck Experience
• Experience with oilfield electrical equipment
• Prefer electrical technical school training
• General knowledge of machinery
• Knowledge of Residential and Commercial systems
• Knowledge of current electrical codes, industry standards
• Basic Blueprint/Schematic Reading
• Knowledge of OSHA Construction Safety Requirements
• Knowledge of secondary electrical systems including planning additions or modifications on secondary circuits
