Job summary
Certified Fleet Services in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking a Master Diesel Technician to join our growth-driven team. You will diagnose, repair, and service heavy-duty diesel engines and drive trains, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma is required.
- Completion of a formal diesel technician training program is required.
- Dealership or Manufacturer Master Diesel Technician certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of diesel vehicle repair experience is required.
- Current valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
- Experience working with team members across multiple functional roles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel vehicles accurately within a reasonable time frame and with high quality of work.
- Assume personal responsibility for work quality, timeliness, and results.
- Create comprehensive work plans after assessing problems.
- Run diagnostics on diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, electronics, and drivetrains; interpret results to offer solutions.
- Thoroughly inspect all vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts.
- Repair or replace vehicle systems and components.
- Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance.
- Train shop team members in repair responsibilities.
- Assist in development of key practices and policies.

- Diagnosing and repairing vehicles accurately within a reasonable time frame and with a quality of work that exceeds customer expectations
- Assumes personal responsibility for all aspects of work quality, timeliness, and results
- Creating comprehensive work plans after thoroughly assessing problems
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines, all vehicle systems, including after treatment systems, electronics, and drivetrain and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
- Thoroughly inspecting all vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhaust systems
- Repairing or replacing all vehicle systems and components
- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
- Training members of the shop thoroughly in various vehicle maintenance and repair responsibilities
- Assist in development of key practices and policies

- Current knowledge of industry developments, best practices, and technologies
- Expert knowledge of diesel repair and maintenance
- Experience successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment with competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and create documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence
- GED or High School Diploma required
- Completion of a formal diesel technician training program required
- Dealership or Manufacturer Master Diesel Technician certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years of diesel vehicle repair experience required
- Current Valid Driver's License required, CDL preferred
- Experience working with team members across multiple functional roles required
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing or walking
- Ability to work in enclosed environments exposed to excessive noise, automotive shop
- environment, and cold or heat
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
