Job summary

Spradley Chevrolet Hyundai in Pueblo, CO seeks a full-time Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain diesel-powered vehicles onsite. You will work with a high-performance team to meet safety and performance standards and ensure exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a diesel technology or automotive training program preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or technician.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and diagnostics.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic issues in diesel engines and vehicle systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension and fuel system work.
  • Conduct inspections and road tests to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
  • Use diagnostic tools, software and technical manuals to identify and resolve issues.
  • Accurately document repair orders, parts used and labor hours.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines, dealership policies and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Stay current with technical training, certifications and industry advancements.

Your day as a Diesel Mechanic
