Job summary

Jim Brangham Auto Repair is seeking an experienced Master Diagnostic Technician to diagnose complex vehicle concerns and fix them right the first time. The role requires independent work, critical thinking, and collaboration with a team.

ASE L1 or CA license holders may qualify for higher compensation. Responsibilities include diagnosing drivability, electrical, emissions, and vehicle performance issues; performing advanced electrical testing; repairing A/C systems; using scan tools and wiring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent automotive diagnostic experience.
• Advanced experience with professional scan tools and factory information.
• Diagnose check engine lights, drivability, electrical issues.
• Strong electrical diagnostic skills and reading wiring diagrams.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive A/C systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex drivability, electrical, emissions, and vehicle performance concerns.
• Perform advanced electrical testing and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair automotive air conditioning systems.
• Use professional scan tools, factory service information, wiring diagrams, and proven testing procedures.
• Complete thorough Digital Vehicle Inspections with quality photos and technician notes.
• Clearly document testing procedures, findings, and repair recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors throughout the repair process.
• Assist other technicians with difficult diagnostic concerns when appropriate.
• Participate in ongoing technical education and training.
