Qualifications

• 7+ years in master data management or ERP data roles.
• Experience designing master data standards on SAP implementations or large data conversions.
• Hands-on definition of match and survivorship rules for customer or party data.
• Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Utilities or SAP IS-U master data experience through go-live.
• Preferred: SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) design and configuration experience.
• Preferred: experience in regulated, multi-jurisdiction utility environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; CDMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own all customer master data decisions across sub-domains (business partner, contract account, premise, installation, SAP objects).
• Shape the Master Data Governance Strategy and map master data objects with IBM implementation partners.
• Define golden record, match, merge, and survivorship rules with documented rationale.
• Assess downstream impact on billing, service orders, credit/collections, and reporting.
• Set master data quality thresholds and sign off at mock conversion milestones.
• Establish create, change, retire processes and ownership with Data Governance Office.
• Design and document post-go-live operating model for master data stewardship.
• Engage leadership to communicate trade-offs and drive timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own all customer master data decisions across the Contact Profile and Premise Profile sub-domains, including business partner, contract account, premise, installation, and related SAP objects
• Shape the Master Data Governance Strategy and lead the mapping of master data objects in collaboration with IBM implementation partners
• Define golden record, match, merge, and survivorship rules, and document the business and technical reasoning behind each decision
• Assess the downstream impact of master data design on billing, service orders, credit and collections, and reporting, resolving conflicts between sub-domains as they arise
• Partner with the Data Quality Lead to set master data quality thresholds and formally sign off on master data readiness at each mock conversion and dress rehearsal milestone
• Establish create, change, and retire processes and ownership structures in collaboration with the Data Governance Lead, data stewards, and the Enterprise Data Governance Office
• Design and document the post-go-live operating model for ongoing master data maintenance and stewardship
• Engage business leaders and program stakeholders to communicate design trade-offs clearly and drive timely, well-reasoned decisions

Skills

• Deep knowledge of SAP customer master data objects including business partner, contract account, premise, and installation
• Hands-on experience defining match, merge, and survivorship rules for customer or party master data
• Strong understanding of master data governance frameworks, including stewardship models and data ownership structures
• Ability to assess cross-domain data design impacts on core utility business processes such as billing, service orders, and collections
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to translate complex data design concepts for business and executive audiences
• Experience collaborating with system integrators and third-party implementation partners in large ERP programs
• Proven ability to drive decisions and resolve conflicts across multiple stakeholder groups under program timeline pressure

Experience

• 7 or more years in master data management, data governance, or ERP data roles
• Demonstrated experience designing master data standards on at least one SAP implementation or large-scale data conversion program
• Hands-on definition of match and survivorship rules for customer or party data in an enterprise context
• Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Utilities or SAP IS-U master data experience through at least one full go-live
• Preferred: SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) design and configuration experience
• Preferred: Experience in regulated, multi-jurisdiction utility environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Preferred: Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent data management certification
