Job summary

Jackson Hole Jewelry Company seeks a highly skilled, independent jeweler proficient in both traditional bench work and modern technology to work directly with clients. You will perform complex repairs, custom work, and restorations, explaining methods and timelines with confidence.

Responsibilities include sizing and setting across multiple techniques, managing your own workload, and ensuring precise documentation and secure handling of client property from intake to completion.

Qualifications

• CBJ/CBJT/CMBJ certification or equivalent mastery demonstrated through portfolio
• Comprehensive knowledge of precious metals and gemstones and how they behave in repairs
• Able to explain technical constraints to clients without condescension
• Willing to grow into the design conversation and collaborate across the team
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet completion dates
• Comfortable working directly with clients to discuss repairs, alterations, and custom work

Responsibilities

• Execute sizing, restoration, re-tipping, bezel work, and head replacement to a high standard
• Set stones across prong, bezel, channel, pavé and micro-pavé on heirlooms and inventory
• Undertake hand fabrication, casting, polishing, and finishing using traditional and modern methods including laser welding
• Meet with clients to discuss repairs, alterations and custom work and prepare clear estimates and timelines
• Manage workload and job tracking and honor promised completion dates
• Maintain precise documentation and secure handling of client property from intake to completion

Education

Jewelers of America bench certification (CBJ, CBJT, or CMBJ) or equivalent mastery demonstrated through portfolio
