Job summary

Confidence Chevrolet Buick GMC, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is currently seeking a talented Master Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team and help Make Confidence Happen every day. You'll perform repairs, diagnostics and maintenance on various vehicles with attention to quality and efficiency.

In this role you will communicate with the Service Advisor, provide repair estimates, maintain detailed service records, and adhere to safety standards while delivering

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service technician is required.
• Strong automotive background and knowledge of vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional repairs and estimated time.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Keep work area clean and follow safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Here is what you will be doing:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management

Here is what you will need:

• Previous experience as a service technician required
• Strong automotive background
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license
