NIKA is hiring for a Master As-Built (MARS) Drawing Support to support the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Engineering Division in San Antonio, TX. The role will sit onsite on a hybrid schedule.

Job Description:
ProvidesafullarrayoftechnicaldrawingsupportandservicestobothinternalandexternalDHA customers. Supported files include all files and drawings generated through the use of computer aided design software.
- PerformdutiesofrolesandresponsibilitiesdefinedbelowasassignedbyDHAEngineering leadership.
- AssistsMTFfacilitymanagersintheorganizationandupdatingofbuildingdrawings,plansand master plans.
- UploadandmaintaininMARSdatabasethe100%IssuedForConstructiondesigndocumentsas well as red-lined As-Built or final Record Drawing construction documents.
- ProduceRecordDrawingsbyupdating100%IFCfileswith red-linedAs-Builtdrawing submission if not provided by the construction contractor.
- Performsupdatesremotelyusingacombinationofphone,webconference,email,fax,etc.forall changes of less than 5,000 square feet in a single contiguous building.
- Updates existing Fire Protection / Life Safety drawings to reflect as-built conditions and any changes made through additions, moves, modifications, etc. Elements include, but are not limitedto:LifeSafetydrawings,fire plans,egressdrawings,andrelateddetails;Updatesthefire protection layer with all the components of the fire protection system, including control panels, heat detectors, smoke detectors, pull and push stations, egress lighting, fire extinguisher locations, sprinkler head location, and smoke/fire dampers from as-built drawings.
- Updates existing Architectural infrastructure and architectural elements of as-built drawings to reflectchangesmadethroughadditions,moves,modifications,etc.architecturaldesignelements include, but are not limited to: exterior walls, interior walls, windows, partitions, stairwells, elevators, casework, doors, door swings. Placement of associated text such as RPIE asset numbers, room number, area, finishes, and room name are also part of the basic architectural scope in accordance with DHA policies and procedures.
- ValidateprojectroominformationchangesincompliancewithMedicalHealthSystemsSpace Planning Criteria.
- UpdateDMLSS/LogiColesystemwithrequiredroominformationperDHA-FEstandard operating procedures and policies for projects.
Required:
- Associate’sdegreeinComputerAidedDesign Drafting (CADD) fromaninstitutionoracertificate in Computer Aided Design Drafting (CADD) from a technical college.
- Demonstrate minimum of two(2)years documented experiencewithAutodeskand/orcomparable computer aided design software.
- Must be US Citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain security clearance
Preferred:
- ProficiencyinAutoCADand/orMicroStationtoincludedrawing,importingandexporting, layering, referencing, and printing.
- Abilitytocollectdatafrommultiplesourcesandconsolidateintoafinalintegrated product.
- Familiarwithotherengineeringdisciplinesandbeabletointerpretmultiplestylesof trade drawings to coordinate between trades.
- Working knowledge and familiarity with facility management, building infrastructure systems, and associated standard drawing and component naming conventions. Ability to Understanding ofhowtocollectdataforanalysisandthendevelopprojectsresultingfromanalysis.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
