Job summary

Ace Precision in Wisconsin seeks a skilled 5-axis CNC machinist to translate sketches and specs into precise setups and production sequences. The role involves setting up and running multiple CNC mills, verifying programs, and maintaining tight tolerances on metallic parts in a high-demand environment.

You will inspect parts with bore gauges and micrometers, document process behavior with SPC charts, and address issues promptly to keep production on track. Equal opportunity employer.

Is this you? Do you see toolpaths in your head and understand how a cutter moves through five axes? Can you read a routing and drawing, plan the sequence, and bring a complex setup to life? What you’ll tackle

• Translate sketches, work instructions, and product specs into accurate setups, including dimensions, tolerances, and operational order.
• Set up, adjust, and operate 5-axis CNC milling centers; verify programs before and during production.
• Spot and solve issues fast—malfunctions, out-of-tolerance features, finish deviations—within defined limits.
• Run multiple machines to boost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Consistently hit exacting tolerances and finish targets on metallic parts.
• Inspect work using bore gages, rail gages, and ID/OD micrometers; document process behavior using SPC charts.
