Job summary

Northeast College of Health Sciences seeks a Professional Tutor for Undergraduate Massage Therapy to support students in person or virtually. The role requires flexible scheduling including evenings and one in-person day each weekend, up to 20 hours per week.

You will provide content-based tutoring, share study strategies, and coordinate with faculty. Prior tutoring or teaching experience is valued, as is reliability and ability to work independently and with diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Massage Therapy graduate who is currently working as a licensed therapist or pending board exam date.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher while enrolled in undergraduate studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population in a supportive way.

Responsibilities

• Meets and supports students through small group, 1:1 tutoring, and/or drop-in sessions.
• Provides content-based learning activities aligned with Massage Therapy coursework.
• Offers study strategy suggestions and active learning tools.
• Reviews and reinforces material for clarity and understanding.
• Maintains records of student contact and submits paperwork promptly.
• Becomes familiar with WCOnline and uses it for scheduling and documentation.
• Collaborates with faculty for assignment clarification and guidance.
• Mentors student tutors as needed and participates in required trainings.
