Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin, TX seeks a Licensed Massage Therapist to assess client medical histories and tailor massage sessions accordingly. You will educate clients on massage options, explain procedures and products, and perform sessions with attention to hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

Licensed Massage Therapist

Lake Austin Spa Resort - Austin, TX

Responsibilities

• Take notes regarding each client’s medical history and ensure that appropriate precautions are taken so that the condition is not aggravated
• Provide clients with knowledge of different types of available massages and suggest appropriate massage therapies for individual clients
• Explain the massage procedure and provide information about oils and creams used during massage
• Perform massaging activities according to each client’s instructions (pressure and preferred oil/cream)
• Talk to clients (minimally) during massage treatments to ensure their well-being during the procedure
• Uphold the standards of hygiene and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
• Maintain a constructive attitude and add toward a quality work environment

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will have at least 500 training hours, including one year of licensed, hands‑on experience.
• Current Texas massage therapist license required.
• Excellent customer service skills
