Job summary

Lake Austin Spa Resort is seeking a Reservation Agent to handle guest inquiries, book reservations, and manage gift certificates. You will confirm availability, provide pricing, enter bookings in Book 4 Time and Opera, and send confirmations.

Strong customer service and multitasking across systems are essential, with weekend/holiday shifts required. This on-site, full-time role offers a commission program in addition to hourly pay, reflecting guest arrivals and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.1+ year in customer service.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Comfortable speaking with guests while navigating multiple computer systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and reservation systems.

Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist guests with booking reservations.
• Process gift certificate orders.
• Quote rates, explain packages, and confirm appointment availability.
• Accurately enter reservations using Book 4 Time and Opera.
• Assist resort guests with scheduling spa services during their stay.
• Respond to guest questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Recommend additional spa services and activities when appropriate.
• Coordinate special requests with other departments as needed.
• Prepare and send reservation confirmations, brochures, enrollment letters, and other guest correspondence.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Additional Responsibilities

• Process online reservation requests.
• Confirm upcoming appointments and reservations by phone.
• Stay informed on current promotions, packages, and resort offerings.
• Assist the Sales and Marketing department with special projects and data collection.
• Work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfortable speaking with guests while navigating multiple computer systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous reservations, hospitality, hotel, spa, or call center experience.
• Experience using Opera or Book 4 Time.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Schedules are provided one month in advance and rotate monthly. Weekend and holiday availability are required.

Operating Hours:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Compensation

In addition to hourly pay, this position is eligible for a commission program based on guest arrivals.

Commission is paid bi-weekly.
