Responsibilities

• Provide professional massage therapy services in accordance with state licensing and spa standards.

• Create a calm, welcoming guest experience and maintain a clean, prepared treatment room.
• Follow sanitation, safety, privacy, draping, documentation, and guest-care standards.
• Communicate professionally with guests, front desk, providers, and leadership.
• Support spa flow, schedule readiness, and room turnover.
• Maintain licensure and continuing education as applicable.
• Encourage rebooking and long-term guest relationships through excellent service.

What you’ll do

• Provide professional massage therapy services in accordance with Washington state licensing requirements and Nouveau Day Spa standards.
• Customize each massage based on the guest’s needs, preferences, contraindications, pressure preference, focus areas, and treatment goals.
• Perform massage services that may include:
• • Swedish massage
  • Deep tissue massage
  • Therapeutic massage
  • Relaxation massage
  • Prenatal massage
  • Hot stone massage
  • Other spa or bodywork services based on training and the Nouveau Day Spa service menu
• Create a calm, comfortable, safe, and welcoming experience for every guest.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, organized, and treatment-ready room.
• Follow sanitation, safety, privacy, draping, documentation, and guest-care standards.
• Communicate professionally with guests, front desk team members, providers, and practice leadership.
• Support daily spa flow, schedule readiness, and timely treatment room turnover.
• Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education as applicable.
• Help encourage rebooking, repeat visits, and long-term guest relationships through excellent service.

What you bring

• Active Massage Therapist license in Washington.
• Prior hands-on massage therapy experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of massage techniques, body mechanics, client safety, contraindications, and professional boundaries.
• Warm, grounded, and service-oriented communication style.
• Ability to customize treatments while maintaining consistency, professionalism, and Nouveau Day Spa service standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Comfort working in a team-based spa, wellness, hospitality, or aesthetics environment.
• Ability to maintain guest confidentiality and follow spa policies.

Preferred experience

• Experience in a day spa, resort spa, wellness center, medical spa, hospitality, or aesthetics environment.
• Experience with multiple massage modalities, such as Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic, relaxation, prenatal, sports massage, or hot stone.
• Flexible availability, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Passion for wellness, massage therapy, guest care, and creating an excellent spa experience.

Compensation

• This is a commission-based role.
• Compensation will vary based on services performed, schedule, client demand, and the applicable commission structure.
