The Flowering Almond Spa at The Founders Inn & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist for Saturday and Sunday shifts. Ideal candidates will have Virginia licensure, strong guest service skills, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries and a clean treatment environment. CPR is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled, professional, and guest-focused Licensed Massage Therapist to join our spa team on Saturdays and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

As a Massage Therapist, you will:

• Provide professional massage therapy services tailored to each guest's individual needs.
• Perform approved massage treatments, which may include Swedish, therapeutic, sports, and other massage techniques within your training and licensure.
• Provide body and hydrotherapy treatments for which you are appropriately trained.
• Maintain strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, massage techniques, and spa treatment protocols.
• Consult with guests prior to treatments to understand preferences, needs, and relevant considerations.
• Protect guest privacy, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality throughout every service.
• Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment and maintain appropriate supplies throughout the day.
• Ensure treatment rooms and work areas remain clean, organized, sanitary, and welcoming.
• Maintain knowledge of spa services and retail products and provide appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Assist with maintaining treatment supplies and communicating inventory needs to Spa leadership.
• Provide tours of the spa when requested.
• Work collaboratively with Spa Front Desk Agents, other service providers, and hotel departments to create a seamless guest experience.
• Attend required training and departmental meetings as scheduled.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, licensing, spa, hotel, and professional standards.
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive prepared and on time for scheduled appointments and shifts.
• Assist with other reasonable spa responsibilities as assigned by Spa leadership.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Massage Therapist license required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Previous professional massage therapy experience preferred.
• Experience providing spa, resort, body, or hydrotherapy treatments is a plus.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sanitation, and professional massage practices required.
• Ability to perform massage services for extended periods and meet the physical demands of the position.

Weekend Availability Required

This position is specifically designed to support our weekend spa business.

Candidates must be available to work both Saturdays and Sundays.

This is a part-time, weekend-only position. Reliable weekend availability is an essential requirement of the role.

Physical Requirements

Massage therapy is an active and physically demanding profession. The position requires the ability to:

• Stand for extended periods while providing treatments.
• Frequently reach, bend, and use repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Maintain the manual dexterity and physical stamina necessary to perform massage services.
• Lift and carry approximately 20–30 pounds as needed.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, linens, equipment, and supplies.
