Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort is seeking licensed Massage Therapists for the Solitude Mountain Spa and The Inn. Join a guest-focused team in a mountain resort environment, providing Swedish, hot stone, sports, and deep-tissue massages along with body treatments.

Ideal candidates are customer-service oriented, reliable, and able to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays. Requires Utah license and ability to stand for long periods; transportation to the resort is expected in variable winter

Qualifications

• Licensed massage therapist, hold an active license and qualified to work in the State of Utah.
• Experience in or willingness to learn Swedish massage, hot stone massage, sports massage, and deep-tissue massage.
• Experience in or willingness to learn a variety of body treatments, including body wraps, body scrubs, hot stone massage, etc.
• Professional and positive attitude.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and customize for each guest's needs.
• Perform multiple high-quality massages and body treatments per working day.
• Ability to stand for up to 6-8 hours each day.
• Commuting via reliable transportation with snow tires/chains or bus or carpool.
• Willing to work flexible hours that include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing all massage therapists' treatments and services efficiently.
• Arriving 20 minutes prior to first service on site.
• Ensuring massage rooms are clean, in working order, stocked and presentable for next treatment.
• Recommending retail, services, and product knowledge of the spa.
• Assisting in team closing procedures at end of shift.
• Restocking products, towels, linens, and spa supplies.
• Understanding and adhering to all spa policies, schedules, protocols, and procedures.
• Contributing to any additional aid or assistance of the spa, the Inn, or other department as needed.
• Attending all spa team meetings and trainings.

Position

Are you passionate about massage therapy and the mountains? Solitude Spa is looking for dedicated massage therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, is a team player, a motivated self-starter, and is eager to learn and grow within the field of massage therapy.

In this role, you will work within a tourism/hospitality mountain resort spa, providing treatments to high-expectation clientele, including tourists, owners, and locals. You will be part of a supportive and dynamic team across all resort departments.

Specific Job Requirements

• Commuting Big Cottonwood Canyon via reliable transportation with required approved snow tires and or chains, UTA bus, or employee carpool, in many variable seasonal road conditions
• Willing to work flexible hours that include weekends and holidays

Job Responsibilities

• Performing all massage therapists' treatments and services efficiently
• Arriving 20 minutes prior to your first service in spa, ready and on time on site to receive clients
• Ensuring massage therapists' rooms are clean, in working order, set up, completed cleaning list and stocked properly so that it is presentable for next treatment or working day
• Recommending retail, services, and product knowledge of the spa
• Assisting in team closing procedures at end of shift
• Restocking products, towels, linens, and spa supplies
• Understanding and adhering to all spa policies, schedules, protocols, and procedures
• Contributing to any additional aid or assistance of the spa, the Inn, or other department as needed
• Attending all spa team meetings and trainings
