Job summary

ORION PLACEMENT seeks an attorney to manage a substantial plaintiff personal injury caseload from intake through trial. You will work with experienced trial attorneys to develop deposition, motion practice, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills on Massachusetts matters.

A JD and active Massachusetts Bar in good standing are required, with 2+ years MA plaintiff PI experience. Hartford, CT with hybrid flexibility offers cross-state exposure and meaningful client service opportunities.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active Massachusetts Bar in good standing.
• 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience in Massachusetts.
• Hands-on experience managing matters through multiple phases of litigation.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a substantial caseload of 70–100 MA plaintiff PI files through all phases.
• Evaluate liability, damages, medical evidence, and litigation strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents for MA cases.
• Prepare for and defend depositions; conduct depositions when appropriate.
• Handle written discovery with timely, accurate responses.
• Attend hearings and argue motions in Massachusetts courts.
• Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Develop cases for trial and serve as first-chair trial counsel when needed.
• Collaborate with experts, investigators, medical providers, clients, and staff.
