MAPFRE is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to own the Massachusetts Personal Lines Auto pricing insights. You will lead state-specific analyses to influence rate changes and profitability decisions, applying CAS principles and strong business acumen.

You’ll collaborate across teams, mentor junior staff, and pursue CAS exams, while using SQL to extract data from multiple sources and deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of actuarial personal lines pricing or related experience.
• 5+ CAS exams passed
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional knowledge in a specialized field
• Actuarial, analytical, and coding expertise (SQL proficiency required)
• Ability to carry out advanced quantitative analyses and contribute to complex projects under guidance
• Strong communication with business partners and senior leadership
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritize effectively
• Proven track record of implementing methodology or process improvements

• Own the Market: lead Massachusetts Personal Lines Auto pricing analysis.
• Provide actuarial analysis for rate changes and strategic initiatives.
• Review pricing for new or existing rating elements and coverages.
• Forecast profitability and rate needs under market changes.
• Use SQL to retrieve and manipulate data across sources.
• Perform reasonability checks and deliver accurate results.
• Present findings to peers and senior leadership.
• Collaborate across functions and mentor junior staff toward CAS exams.
