Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Technical Coordinator to guide laboratory operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality services and timely patient testing. You will collaborate with management and medical directors to optimize procedures, maintain QA programs, and support staff development.

You will also assist with financial operations, inventory management, and safety compliance, including respiratory fit testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certification required: listed ASCP/related certifications.
• 4 years laboratory experience, with at least 1 year in the specified area.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates on routine and complex laboratory procedures.
• Identifies and solves administrative/operational problems.
• Develops new methodologies; coordinates method evaluations including QA/quality control; reviews data and recommends implementation.
• Oversees quality control/quality assurance programs; maintains QC policies and calibration verification; implements corrective actions for QA failures.
• Supports Computer Operations: data integrity, printing, and issue resolution for sections.
• Coordinates and supports Continuing Education programs for staff; maintains expertise in areas of responsibility.
• Assists Manager with financial operations; maintains supplies and monitors usage within budget.
• Ensures respiratory fit testing compliance for safety.
