Responsibilities

• Determines suitability of specimens and orders by verifying patient information and troubleshooting orders.
• Performs routine and special testing procedures, evaluates results, and troubleshoots abnormal findings.
• Responds quickly to STAT requests and emergency situations.
• Maintains quality control and documentation; trains new employees.
• In-charge technologist in supervisor's absence, prioritizing workflow.
• Maintains safety and clean work area.
