Job summary

KCAS Bioanalytical and Biomarker Services in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Scientist for the Mass Spec Bioanalysis Development group to advance study execution and development activities under guidance from senior scientists.

You will apply LC-MS/MS and bioanalytical techniques to support drug discovery and clinical studies, building expertise in data integrity, troubleshooting, and compliant documentation as part of a collaborative, fast-growing CRO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in chemistry, biochemistry or related field; 2+ years LC-MS/MS experience
• Exposure to bioanalytical sample preparation and quantitative LC-MS/MS techniques
• Familiarity with regulated lab environments and documentation

Responsibilities

• Execute portions of studies including sample prep and LC-MS/MS analysis under supervision
• Support method development and qualification activities per protocols
• Perform data processing and assist in data summaries
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues with guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation per SOPs/regulatory requirements
• Ensure proper sample identification, handling, and tracking
• Communicate progress and escalate issues to senior staff
• Contribute to KCAS Bio's mission and values
