Job summary

Jefferson County seeks a Mass Care Coordinator to lead the development, coordination, and sustainment of the Mass Care Program across Emergency Management and Human Services. You will oversee sheltering, reunification, feeding, and donations coordination while aligning with NRF/NIMS standards.

The role requires collaboration with county departments and partner organizations, ensuring 24/7 readiness and strong community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five years of work-related experience.
• Equivalents may be considered with education/experience.

Responsibilities

• EOC Readiness & Planning: develop and update mass care plans and annexes.
• Inclusive Preparedness: address AFN needs and vulnerable populations.
• Partnership Coordination: collaborate with NGOs, VOAD, Red Cross, United Way, and others.
• Resource & Facility Coordination: identify resources and maintain agreements.
• Training & Exercises: support planning and conduct exercises and after-action reviews.
• Activation & Recovery: assist with EOC activations and transition to recovery.
