Job summary

Miles-McClellan Construction in Ohio seeks a Commercial Masonry Operator to safely operate equipment and support masonry crews on commercial projects. This role works closely with foremen, masons, and laborers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

You will load and transport materials, assist with brick, block, and stone installations, read plans and grade markings, perform basic maintenance, and keep a tidy, safe site.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two or more years of commercial masonry or construction experience.
  • Experience operating construction equipment commonly used in masonry work.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of masonry materials, tools, and construction methods preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA standards, and jobsite procedures.
  • Collaborate with foremen, masons, and other trades to support project productivity.
  • Report equipment concerns, safety hazards, and quality issues promptly.
