• Schedule: Work schedule is dependent on the position

You will serve as a Mason (Seasonal). The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Seasonal Staffing Office-Shenandoah National Park is March - September, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: March - July 2027.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Conduct maintenance, repair and restoration of the park historic structures and resources Maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of exterior and interior surfaces and structures built of brick, stone and block. Repairs and maintains historic masonry on buildings, parapets, chimneys, fireplaces, roadway rock walls, etc.

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications independently and determine the layout and work sequences. Performs a variety of complex brickwork and stone work to match existing historic structures.

Requirements & Education

There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.
