National Park Service in Gunnison, Colorado seeks a Seasonal Maintenance Worker. You will perform repairs and maintenance on structures and grounds, including minor carpentry, installing doors, shelves, frames, windows, trim and cabinets across park facilities.
Additional duties include routine site maintenance, restroom cleaning, transporting materials with a light truck, and possible painting, masonry, roofing, welding, or assisting higher-grade staff with utility systems maintenance.
You will serve as a Maintenance Worker (Seasonal). The typical seasonal entry-on-duty is April-October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Open to the first 150 applicants.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds. Perform minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Construct, install, repair and replace such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets.
Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed. Operate a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites. May perform other duties such as painting equipment, masonry work, roofing, welding or assisting higher grade worker with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.

The posted pay range is $24.21 – $29.13/hr.
