Job summary

Diamond Landscaping in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Mason to build, install, and repair structures using concrete, brick, wood, and steel. You will read blueprints, prep sites, and work with a skilled team to deliver luxury residential landscapes.

This role emphasizes safety, precision, and reliable hands-on craftsmanship. Candidates should have physical stamina, a valid CDL, and a track record in landscape construction or related fields.

Qualifications

• Must perform physical outdoor labor including lifting, bending, and handling materials.
• Dependable, punctual, organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience in landscape maintenance, construction, or related fields.
• Strong verbal and written communication with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
• Knowledge of standard safety policies and procedures.
• Must have own transportation and a valid CDL.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate blueprints and plans, prepare property, and complete projects according to budget.
• Use and train others on hand, electric, or pneumatic tools.
• Ensure safety PPE and high-quality standards on all jobs.
• Keep job sites clean and camera-ready at all times.
• Accurately calculate quantities of required materials and proactively order supplies.
• Complete paperwork, such as timecards, safety reports, daily work reports on time and accurately.
• Practice proper excavation techniques, locate utilities, and notify applicable agencies, such as Dig Alert.
• Ensure safekeeping of company tools and vehicles, and ensure maintenance is completed.
• Report deviations between actual worksite and blueprints/plans.
• Will partner with various teams and work on other projects as needed.

For 30 years, Diamond Landscaping has been the leader in luxury residential landscaping for high-net-worth clients, including A-list celebrities and media/entertainment executives, in the Los Angeles area.

With a focus on custom installation, meticulous craftsmanship, and long-term maintenance, we create dream landscapes and build lifelong relationships.

Our construction team is growing due to new jobs. We are currently searching for an experienced Mason who will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing different structures using a variety of types of materials, including concrete, brick, wood, and steel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate blueprints and plans, prepare property, and complete projects according to budget.
• Effectively use and train others on the use of hand, electric, or pneumatic tools.
• Ensure all safety precautions (including use of proper PPE) and high-quality standards are always met on all jobs.
• Ensure job sites are clean, maintained, and "camera-ready" at all times.
• Accurately calculate quantities of required materials and proactively order supplies, ensuring that all team members have the necessary items to complete jobs.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, such as timecards, safety reports, daily work reports on time and accurately.
• Practice proper excavation techniques, locate utilities, and notify applicable agencies, such as "Dig Alert".
• Ensure the safekeeping of company-issued tools and vehicles, and ensure proper maintenance is completed.
• Report to Management any deviations or discrepancies between actual worksite and what blueprints/plans dictate.
• Will partner with various teams and work on other projects/jobs as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Able to perform physical outdoor activities that require the use of arms, legs, and the moving of the entire body, such as lifting, balancing, bending, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and detailed.
• Experience working in landscape maintenance, landscape construction, building, general contracting, or related.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to positively interact and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and owners/agents.
• Knowledge of standard safety policies and procedures.
• Must have own transportation and a valid, unexpired CDL.

$22 - $32 an hour

Salary depends on relevant landscape industry experience, qualifications, certifications, and skills.
