Job summary

Carmel Landscapes is seeking a self-motivated Landscape Foreman to lead installations and ornamental maintenance. This management role emphasizes craftsmanship and teamwork, not lawn care, with a focus on sustainable landscaping.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of landscape construction experience required, foreman experience preferred.
• NALP certifications or equivalent are a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage site logistics.
• Mulching, edging, weed identification and eradication methods.
• Layout landscape jobs and install according to drawings and work orders.
• Perform minor construction tasks such as trim, final grading and seed beds.
• Communicate with clients and management before and during projects.
• Execute planting and pruning techniques throughout the season.
• Conduct safety training and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Conform to company policies and procedures.

Carmel Landscapes is currently searching for a self-motivated, high-caliber professional Landscape Foreman who takes pride in their work, values teamwork and has an eye for remarkable craftsmanship! This is a management type role that aligns with installations and ornamental maintenance of properties, this is not a lawn care position.

Schedule

• Full-time
• 1st shift (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) (floating winter shift)
• Overtime available

Responsibilities

• Manage site logistics
• Mulching, edging, weed identification, and eradication methods
• Layout landscape jobs and install according to drawings and workorders
• Perform trivial construction tasks such as trim/final grading and seed beds
• Communicate with clients and management before and during projects
• Properly execute planting and pruning techniques throughout the season
• Execute safety training and work in a clean safe environment
• Conform to company policies and procedures

Preferred Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years previous experience in Landscape Construction required, foreman experience is preferred
• NALP (National Association of Landscape Professionals) certifications or equivalent are a plus
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in truck and trailer navigation
• Excellent Plant ID and native plant knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to solve problems and provide solutions with both clients and management
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Clean driving record with reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to perform minor tool maintenance and be preventative about possible issues
• Familiar with horticulture chemicals
• Excellent arithmetic skills
