Job summary

Intel is seeking a Mask Manufacturing Technician in Hillsboro, Oregon to join the Foundry manufacturing team. The role focuses on defect identification, yield improvement, and process optimization to power AI-enabled semiconductor devices.

The position requires onsite presence at the Hillsboro facility and offers growth within a collaborative, results-driven environment that values quality and safety. Excellent opportunity for hands-on manufacturing work.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in a STEM program.
  • High school diploma with 1+ years in related areas (military electronics, end-user computing, schematic reading, electronic systems, troubleshooting and repair).

Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks in the production process, ensuring finished products meet standards and customer specs.
  • Supports developing, building and testing new products and prototypes or processes for quality and functionality.
  • Operates equipment from a remote operations center or within the factory; collects and evaluates data to adjust equipment and optimize processes.
  • Maintains production tool/module efficiency and optimizes settings to improve output.
  • Sets up and operates production equipment per current good manufacturing practices and SOPs.
  • Supports installation, qualification, maintenance, and training of new or reused equipment.
  • Maximizes utilization of equipment and automated systems to improve quality.
  • Collaborates with the Manufacturing Operations Manager to meet output targets and communicates risks to management.
  • Implements process improvements and troubleshoots nonstandard events in production lines.
  • Ensures availability of required raw materials for production.
  • Inspects raw materials and finished products for quality control.
  • Performs quality checks on parts and components.
  • Drives quality and cost improvements with engineering.
  • Maintains production logs and required documentation.

Join Intel Foundry's world-class manufacturing team as a Mask Manufacturing Technician, where you'll play a hands‑on role in producing the cutting‑edge semiconductor devices that power the AI era and improve lives around the globe. With a focus on defect identification, failure analysis, and process optimization, you will help uncover root causes of yield loss and collaborate with a diverse team to implement solutions that improve production performance. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will directly support Intel's mission to advance innovation and deliver high-performance computing solutions.

This position requires regular onsite presence at our Hillsboro, Oregon facility.

Responsibilities Will Include But Will Not Be Limited To
  • Performs assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks in the production process, ensuring that the finished products match the industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Also supports developing, building and testing new products and prototypes, or processes for quality and functionality.
  • Operates equipment either from a remote operations center or internal to factory. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization.
  • Maintains overall production efficiency of assigned tools/ modules, and optimizes production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings as needed.
  • Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Supports activities related to the installation, qualification, maintenance, and training of new or reused production equipment.
  • Drives maximum utilization of equipment and use of automated systems to maximize quality of output.
  • Works with Manufacturing Operations Manager and peers to produce product that meets output requirements and escalates appropriately to management team when shift output schedules are at risk.
  • Supports incorporating process improvements, and troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability.
  • Ensures availability of required raw materials for production.
  • Inspects raw materials and final products, performing quality control evaluations to confirm items meet established standards.
  • Conducts quality checks on the functionality of parts and components.
  • Drives quality and cost improvements through area in conjunction with engineering.
  • Maintains production logs and other required documentation as indicated by Standard Operating Procedures.
Shift Schedule

Shift 5 – Day: Sundays -Tuesdays and alternating Wednesday days (7:30 AM - 8:00 PM)

This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration Sponsorship.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below may be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess an Associate's degree or higher in a STEM program OR;
  • A High school Diploma or GED with 1+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
    • Military electronic/avionic technician training
    • End-user computer skills and navigation
    • Schematic/wiring diagram reading
    • Electronic systems
    • Troubleshooting and maintenance and the testing and/or repairing and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment down to a component using available schematics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of standard PC tools such as MS Windows, MS Outlook, and MS Office suite
  • Previous experience in Mask/Wafer manufacturing environment is a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $51,710.00 - 73,010.00 USD (Hourly Role)
