Job summary

The Professional Tree Care Company is seeking an experienced Operations & Finance Manager to lead its Martinez-based sister company. This full-time, on-site role requires strong leadership over a team and a hands-on approach to both operations and finances.

You will manage accounting, payroll, HR, and organizational development while ensuring compliance with California labor laws and driving growth. Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish; able to communicate policy changes and safety rules to multilingual staff.
• 5+ years in management or leadership roles, preferably in service-based business.
• Strong background in payroll, financial reporting and budgeting.
• Human Resources responsibilities including benefits, performance reviews, and compliance.
• Proven ability to implement systems that improve accountability and performance.
• Experience in trades or construction-related fields is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Finance & Accounting: handle AP/AR, job costing, budgeting, financial reporting; manage cash flow and forecasting.
• Payroll & HR: oversee full-cycle payroll for mixed hourly and salaried staff; ensure labor law compliance; manage records and benefits.
• Organizational Development: drive change with bilingual clarity; build cross-team accountability; shape long-term strategy.
• Leadership: train admin staff in marketing/SEO tasks; educate inside sales on services; ensure collaborative, efficient team dynamics.
